Emma and Alex
The Alnwick Garden offers some of the most breath-taking venue spaces throughout the UK: the perfect, serene back drop to create a panorama of splendour for Emma and Alex’s beautiful wedding.
Throwback to 2013, this hard-working couple met on an average working day, unbeknown to them, Alex would be watching in awe, as his stunning bride walked down the candle-lit aisle at the Sacred Heart Church in North Tyneside, 4 years later. An ear-to-ear grin filled Alex’s face and fixed there for the remainder of their special day. Emma looked radiant in her Eliza Jane Howell wedding gown from The Wedding Room. With a striking embellished bodice and long, elegant, flowing sleeves, Emma’s 60’s style gown and diamond hair accessory, sparkled almost as much as her gorgeous smile. Voting for no veil, and a chic bun in her hair, Emma let her dress steal the show! Combined with a pair of sparkly silver flat Toms, Emma could dance the night away as the flawless embellishment of her outfit, twinkle under the dance-floor lights.
In this fairy-tale wedding the purple colour scheme coordinated perfectly with Alex’s dark grey suit with lavender tie, and could be distinctly seen in the stunning flowers containing purple lilacs and wild garden flowers, with accents of outstanding sunflowers.
This magical day was nothing short of a dream for this lovely couple. Every detail was perfect. Every moment was unforgettable.
If you could go back to the planning stage of your wedding, what would you do differently and why?
“Well, it was out of our control, but both working so hard in elections we actually ended up with an unexpected election the week before our wedding! This added a few challenges on a tight time scale, but it was worth it all in the end.”
ere you nervous the night before your wedding, if so, how did you overcome the nerves?
“Not really. We had a lovely meal with our families the night before, which took away any pre-wedding jitters. Afterwards, we were all stayed in cottages in Embleton a village in Northumberland, an absolutely stunning area, that I would definitely recommend to other celebration parties.”
Do you have any top tips on how to get the most out of your photographer?
“Meet them beforehand and get to know them in advance. This way they can get to know you, your style and what you would like.”
What’s the best piece of advice you could offer future brides?
“I did a lot of online research, looking for recommendations and getting suppliers information, to make the day run smoothly and fit my idea of the dream wedding. Remember, it’s your day! No one else’s. Go with what you want and not what everyone else is telling you.”
