On January 7th 2012, Simon’s world was transformed when a message appeared from his online dating match, Liz. Little did he know he’d be down on one knee, proposing to her at the top of the Empire State Building in New York, just a few years later. Of course, Liz said yes to her dream groom and this beautiful couple tied the knot at their grand wedding in Colwick Hall on October 8th 2017. Surrounded by loved family and friends, Liz swept down the aisle in a stunning Stella York dress, holding her hand-crafted rose bouquet by Mary Jeremiah, The Wedding Room. Liz’s altered Stella York Wedding Gown looked flawless, adding accent cap sleeves was the perfect personal touch for our elegant bride. Facing his blushing bride, Simon looked dapper in a tailor made blue suit with red rose lining, and a perfect personal touch of having the wedding date and bride and groom’s names inscribed inside. Simons copper tie matched the wedding colour scheme of rose gold and copper, creating a romantic, feminine and stylish theme to their fairy-tale wedding.

What was your favourite moment of your wedding, Liz?

‘Oooh that’s a hard one! I have a few: Seeing everywhere and everyone looking so beautiful. Walking down the aisle to my husband-to-be. And of course, the first dance.’

Do you have any top tips on how to get the most out of your photographer?

‘I do wish I had been more focused and ensured I had gotten more pictures with other guests at the wedding, not just formal photographs. I haven’t got any with the bridesmaids!’

If you could back to the planning stage of your wedding, what would you do differently and why?

‘I would have created an order of service for the guests and let them know the wedding day schedule. People didn’t use the photo booth and karaoke enough so I wish I would have promoted that more.’
