Emma and Martin
As the sun set over London, Emma sipped her champagne and gazed out over the city scape from the top of the Shard. As she turned back to face the man of her dreams, Martin, he knelt in front of her and ask for her hand in marriage. Emma felt on top of the world as she said yes to the rest of her life with Martin.
After strenuous bouquet designing, organising seating plans, wedding dress shopping and cake tasting, the big day finally arrived: Emma and Martin’s wedding. Emma walked gracefully down the aisle at Carriage Hall, Plumtree, dressed in a stunning Stella York Wedding gown with a beautiful embellished belt and clutching a spectacular bouquet of rose gold, coral, yellow and peach flowers. The bouquet coordinated perfectly with the colour scheme of the wedding, resonated in The Wedding Rooms chair covers, floral décor and the stylish boutonnieres worn by the groomsmen. Sporting navy suits, the groomsmen looked dashing paired with peach, coral and yellow bridesmaid dresses by Eliza & Ethan, from The Wedding Room. Surrounded by their loved ones, Emma and Martin danced the night away with smiles from ear to ear. Jetting off to Mexico and then New York City, the newlyweds celebrated their united love on their honeymoon before arriving back home as a married couple.
Do you have any top tips on how to get the most out of your photographer?
I would definitely recommend you choose someone whose previous work and pictures you love. Every photographer has a different style so ensure you like theirs. I recommend, you have a discussion before about what kind of picture you want and if there’s anything in particular you want to capture. Be specific.
If you could go back to the planning stage of your wedding, what would you do differently and why?
I wouldn’t spend so much time on some of the minor details. We spent a lot of time and energy planning the small details that on the day weren’t noticeable. Enjoy the experience more than stressing about the small stuff.
What is the best piece of advice you could offer another bride?
To just do and pick what you want. I would start off with the colours you want and work from there.
How did you choose your suppliers?
I tended to meet them all at wedding fairs. It’s a great way to see a variety of suppliers and what they offer.
