In early March, we were lucky enough to be invited by Essense of Australia to
fly to Zurich to choose next seasons Stella York dresses and what an amazing
experience it was. The hospitality from The Essense team was exceptional. The
food was incredible and it was lovely to have some down time. This part of our
job is a little bit of a perk but along with that comes the pressure to make the
absolutely right decisions on the dresses that will join our collection in the
Summer. That is hard work.
mouth-wateringly good
It is hard work because it matters so much to us that we have the right dress
for every bride that walks through the door of The Wedding Room. We want
to provide brides with the very best experience possible and of course the
ultimate goal is for you to fall head of heels in love with a dress we have
chosen.
This is the hardest secret to keep
Before we attend these events, like you when choosing a bridal shop to visit,
we do our research. We think about the dresses we have already and what
would compliment them. We think about the sizes our samples are in and
make sure we have a good selection for every body shape and size. Colours are
taken into consideration, ‘would this design work well in the blush?’ There is a
lot to think about because having the right dresses to show you when you visit
us matters so much.
Once the dresses have been carefully selected we begin to get excited for
when they arrive, just like our brides do when waiting for their dress. We
discuss accessories to ensure we can style the dresses just perfectly so when
brides find the one we can help them find their own unique way to wear it.
Then the final part of the process, the best bit – they land at The Wedding
Room and the real fun begins. We get to see how they look on you all. Real
brides. And when you get that magical feeling and ‘The One’ is a dress we haven chosen, it is the best feeling in the world.
